COMBINES
Combines
are self contained harvesting machines that thresh,
separate and clean multiple rows of crops. They are
equipped with variable rotor speeds, a blower and attached
grain bin; are two or four wheel drive and powered by
engines up to 300hp with hydrostatic transmissions.
Options range from axle extenders and rock traps to
a GPS navigation system with PC cards that monitor yield,
temperature and moisture readings.
Attachable
headers are available for specific applications such
as:
- Corn
Head - Typically range from four to eight row with
set spacings of 28 to 40 inches.
- Grain
Head - These are adjustable for crop height and can
be equipped with a flexible cutterbar. Cutting widths
typically range from 15 to 30 feet.
- Bean
Head - These are equipped with a flexible head for
shorter and harder crops.
